Please don't screw this movie up!!!!!

Conan, as created by Robert E. Howard was and remains a popular character because of the primal, visceral reaction people have to his raw nature. Every "Conan-based" work since then has sought to water the character down, to make him more "comfortable" to "modern" sensibilities...to make him more politically correct. And all of those attempts have met with a lukewarm reception. They got SOME attention because people saw the name "Conan" and were hoping for the real thing. But they go no more than "some" attention because people quickly realized that this was not the "Conan" they were expecting. So, please, for the sake of your own pocketbook, make this Conan based on the vision of Robert E. Howard of a savage, ruthless, barbaric wanderer in the midst of an equally savage world.

I think that the new "Conan" movie should stick to the REH Conan lore as much as possible. You want to keep the original idea not lose it. -Sheera-

Yes please stick to the REH lore, at least a little bit. Don't make Howard feel ashamed in his grave with something like the Schwarzenegger movies.

Nicholas Collier
Conan has the potential to be a franchise on the scale of the lord of the rings. As the original and definitive sword and sorcery hero it would do the character, the legion of fans, and the immense legacy of Conan a disservice to make a mediocre production such as the "Dungeon Siege" and "Dungeons and Dragons" movies. Seriously, it is a waste of a tremendous oppurtunity.

Paul Loren Fiedler
The best thing Paradox could do for both the movie and their box office success, would be to listen to this petition and give the fans what they deserve. A Conan movie that honors and sticks to the vision of Robert E Howard.

Paradox, please scrap your current intentions for the new Conan film and please use Robert E. Howard's short stories as the sole basis for your upcoming film. To do so will give you an enriched product that will have much more lasting appeal.

David Ingalls
I completely agree that the next Conan film should be rooted in Robert Howard's lore. Paradox has the opportunity to make something that will either be a cult classic to REH fans world-wide that will be used as a reference point for years to come or a complete failure that will soon be forgotten if they strive for mass appeal. Staying true to REH's canon will earn you and your project respect and steady residuals for a very long time. Straying from the REH lore will disappoint you much greater than you yet realize.

Thiago Arruda Irigoite
I've been waiting too long. I ask only for respect.

Ronald Sisco
Dear sirs, I agree with these gentlemen and women that we want a movie that either comes from the Stories or inspired by the stories, not a rehash of the Arnie movie and not a remake with another bodybuilder actor. We want a movie that does justice to the source material.

Jason Mischke
Please give us an authentic, R rated, savage Robert E. Howard Conan film.

Zachary Linke
Please take as much time as necessary to make a Conan movie that is true to Robert E. Howard. If you respect Robert E. Howard's Conan, you may make a movie that is as beloved and enduring as his stories.
