The Lotus vines are perhaps the single most source for drugs and poisons in Hyboria. Grown as a vine, the lotus is found in most of the tropical and jungle swamps of Hyboria. The Purple Lotus Swamp of Stygia and the southern jungles of Khitai are perhaps the most famous of locations for the deadly vine. There are several differently colored species of the lotus, each usually having a different effect on it's user, or victim. It can be eaten, inhaled, or cooked. Pollen from the lotus can be collected..

Black Lotus: found in the Black Kingdoms, Stygia and Khitai, as black as the night with a perfumed scent.

Gray Lotus: can be found in the Swamps of the Dead in the eastern most reaches of Khitai. It is said that it's dust induces a maddening rage, rendering one unable to determine friend from foe. It's roots are said to return a person to a state of "normalcy".

Pink Lotus: is found in Vendhya, and is considered an aphrodisiac. It is said to be common and easy to find.

Purple Lotus: purple lotus is said to be found only in the Purple Lotus Swamp of Stygia, and is perhaps one of the deadliest. It is said that it's juice renders a body into paralysis, while leaving the mind completely conscious.

Red Lotus: is perhaps the most commonly found plant of the lotus family. It is found in nearly all tropical locations across Hyboria.

Yellow Lotus: a valuable flower to mages, it is said to induce a trance like state.
